Pleasant Ridge Farm Indoor Arena
Our 70ft. X 150 ft. indoor arena serves to provide a quality riding environment no matter what the outside weather.  Manufactured by Coverall, the arena has a 35 ft. tall ceiling that is rarely found in more traditional wood or steel arenas.  The translucency of the fabric ensures natural light during the day and reflectivity of the high bay lighting at night that virtually eliminates shadows or other distractions for your horse.  During the year's colder months, if the sun is shining, the arena can be 20 degrees warmer than outside.  During the warm summer months, indoors is usually cooler than outside.  We have one dedicated cross tie area and two more cross ties in the barn alleyway.  A radiant heater speeds the time needed to cool horses down after strenuous exercise sessions.

An additional feature of our indoor arena is the viewing lounge.  The lounge affords a comfortable place to look down into the arena while watching horse and rider.  A coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar is available to quench your thirst.  In the above picture you can see the viewing window at the end of the arena.   The picture below shows viewing while looking out the viewing window in the lounge.

Comfortable seating and the beverage bar offers a place to rest and relax after your ride or training session.

Horse Boarding Stalls and Runs
We currently offer four 12' X 10' indoor box stalls and seven 14' X 16' run-in sheds with runs.  The box stalls are adjoined to the indoor arena and on those cold winter nights or stormy summer days, you can take your horse straight from the stall to the arena.

The outdoor run-in sheds cater to those horses accustomed to living outdoors.  Each horse has its own shed and run.  Pelletized feed  is fed individually as each horse is segregated from other horses to prevent injury to either horse or property.

The picture below shows the indoor box stalls looking towards the indoor arena.  Stalls are heavy 2 X 8 lumber walls with grill fronts and sliding doors.  Each stall has its own electricity for individual heated water buckets or other accessories.  Also each stall is individually lighted in case care needs to be rendered or grooming accomplished.

Paddocks and Turnout, Pleasant Ridge Farm, Conifer, Colorado
Horses are turned out daily unless weather is extremely bad.  Free choice hay is fed in the turnouts, unless horses are turned out to pasture during summer when adequate grass is available.

Our turnout consists of a combination of pasture and paddocks.   Horses kept in paddocks are arranged according to temperament and how well they get along with one another.  In summer months, horses will be rotated between paddocks and pasture according to the grass available.  During the past drought years, pasture grass has been limited and the feeding supplimented with hay.  The picture below shows a paddock with a run-in shed.

We also have shelter in the pasture for inclement weather.  The picture below shows the pasture with the shelter seen on the right side of the picture.

All of the meadow seen in the photograph below is available for pasture grazing.
